All Black Everything: Kim and Kanye

Look who has become a part of the All Black Dynasty! I don't know if it's Kanye or if she is just in love but Kim Kardashian's fashion game has been ON POINT lately. I loveee black anyways so her wardrobe lately has been calling my name. Check out some of the best Kimye looks. 

Isn't she gorgeous? While on this weight loss journey I Google pics of her ALL THE TIME to keep me on track. Ahh I love my style guru. You even notice she has tamed down her extensions and makeup, I love it. Go Kimmy, Go Kimmy, Go Kimmy :D

July Obsession: Vintage Scarves

How could I let the month pass me by without doing a July Obsession? Lately I have been SO into silk scarves, especially the vintage ones. 

I enjoy using them as headbands but they are lovely as scarves too! I like to go to the thrift or Etsy.com for mine. I especially love the scarves by Vera Neumann (she was Marilyn Monroe's fave!).

So are you guys a fan of scarves? I love the versatility and many of them are pretty cheap. Hope you enjoyed this post :)

This or That Fashion, Nails and Hair Tag

FASHION

*Jeans or sweatpants? JEANS! I only wear sweatpants if I'm working out, late for class or I'm on my period and feel too ugly to be fashionable.

*Long sleeve or short? I prefer long sleeves because I have chunky arms (just keeping it real!) but seeing as how I live in Texas that is not always feasible lol.

*Dresses or skirts? Skirts because they are more versatile.

*Stripes or plaid? I don't own much of either...

*Flip flops or sandals? I don't own a single pair of flip flops! They just aren't... GLAM enough for me. Give me a nice gladiator sandal any day.

*Scarves or hats? For sure scarves but I love beanies in the winter :)

*Studs or dangly earrings? It depends on the outfit but probably dangly.

*Cowboy boots or Riding boots? BOTH! I'm from Texas darlin'! I want a pair of pink and turquoise cowboy boots and riding boots in black and tan. 

*Jacket or hoodie? Jackets, especially blazers. I don't even own a hoodie, but I do think the PINK ones from Victoria's Secret are adorable. 

*Necklaces or bracelets? Both, the gaudier for me the better. Ha!

*Forever21 or Charlotte Russe? Forever21

HAIR

*Curly or straight? Straight. I used to like curly hair a lot but I feel if you have a full face it can emphasize that.

*Bun or ponytail? BOTH!

*Bobby pins or butterfly clips? Bobby pins, I wore butterfly clips in 5th grade -__-

*Hairspray or gel? Gel (I prefer JAM), I have to have my edges smooth.

*Long or short? Long

*Side or Full bang? Side

*Up or down? Down, what's the point in buying weave if you can't show it off ??

*Paris Hilton or Perez Hilton? Def Perez. Once Paris dissed Kim K on the radio she was immediately on my list! 

*Rollerskating or Ice skating? Rollerskating, I was a beast in my younger days.

*Nose or Monroe piercings? I don't like face piercings.

*Lil Kim or Nicki Minaj? It's Barbie b****!

Plato's Closet Mini Haul

Hola babes! I'm backkk with a mini haul for you guys. So you know I love Plato's Closet, while selling some items of course I found something I wanted. 

I loveee this purse because of the chain detail, it's so Chanel! For $10 I couldn't pass it up, and blue is such a trendy color :)

I have been buying up unique, satin scarves like this so I can make them into headbands; it was only $4! I might also use it as a scarf lol.

I told yall it was a mini haul lol! Keep an eye out for a MAC haul coming very soon. Later bloggers and readers.

Something Different...

Hello all! TGIF! So this week has been one of many new beginnings for me. I have recently started a weight loss program and it has gotten me excited about the wonderful things to come in my life.

Instead of snacking being my hobby I thought why not pick up something that I've always loved: drawing! I found a bunch of sketch pads and Prismacolors in my closet so I said why not? I haven't drawn in a LONG time so don't judge too harshly. 

ORIGINAL PICTURE

I found this BEAUTIFUL picture off of Google images and I wanted to challenge myself. I love fashion drawings and I hope to get good enough to begin working on canvases soon. I am not sure of who the artist is but this artwork is fabulous. 

MY SKETCH

Sorry it's kind of dark! I was really trying to make the skirt look pretty, I redrew it about 10 times!

THE FINISHED PRODUCT

I know it doesn't look EXACTLY like the picture but I was pretty happy with the way it turned out. I forgot just how relaxing it was to sit at my desk and just draw! I am in love with it all over again. 

I really hope you guys like my art work. I'm going to keep practicing and sharing my progress with you guys.

Covergirl Lipstick Review in "Tempt"

Red lipstick should be a staple in every woman's makeup collection. But I understand finding a flattering shade can be difficult because you want to make a statement but you don't want to look like a clown either. No worries, I got you!

I am a big fan of Covergirl lipsticks and "Tempt" does not disappoint. 

PROS

*Creamy texture

*More of a muted red

*Lasts for hours

CONS

*The color does bleed at times, so a lip liner is necessary

On women of color, it will look a little on the maroon side but it is very flattering.

On women with paler complexions it will have a berry tinge to it. For more of a pop you can add gloss, as shown above.

Overall I give this product an A-, for $7 you cannot beat this! I bought mine at Target but I'm sure it's available at all drugstores. Until next time :D
